Corby Music and Performing Arts Centre - BELIEVE in yourself and you CAN achieve your goals - GO FOR IT!
About Us

Corby Music and Performing Arts Centre is one of fifteen Regional Saturday Centres run by the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Service (Northamptonshire County Council) and provides fantastic opportunities for young people who are interested in Music, Dance and Drama.

We are based at the brand new Kingswood School, Gainsborough Road, Corby and are really pleased to be able to use such fantastic new facilities.

For more information, you can email corbymusiccentre@btinternet.com or just drop by between 0915 and 1215 on a Saturday morning during term-time.

Many of our current and former students started at Corby Music Centre when they were very young and have gone on to become members of Northamptonshire's award-winning County groups - so could you!

Fees are just £50 a term (£150 a year).

There are over 15 000 young people involved in Arts-related activities throughout Northamptonshire, so in joining us you will already be a part of something very special -  our Music Service is officially "OUTSTANDING" according to our OFSTED-style Evaluation Partner and is the envy of most other Counties throughout the UK.  For an overview of what the Music Service does, visit the NCC website -

Meet the Staff

Miss Sarah Brocklesby - Sarah is one of our Strings specialists and works in lots of schools in the Corby area.  Sarah has a particular interest in Folk Music and started our Folk group, Fun Folk, last year.  Although the Violin is her main instrument, Sarah also plays and teaches the Piano, Clarinet and Recorder - clever stuff!
Miss Pam Carter - Pam is the main peripatetic Woodwind teacher in the Corby area and also works with some of our younger singers.  Pam plays the Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone in several local productions and is one of our longest-serving members of staff.

Miss Sophia Line - Sophia is another of our multi-talented members of staff!  In addition to her fabulous singing voice, Sophia also plays the Piano and Violin.  Sophia looks after our String groups and can spot a poor bow hold from a great distance!
Mr Jon Lloyd (The Boss!) - Jon has worked in the Corby area as a specialist Brass teacher for more years than he cares to remember!  Jon loves giving young people the chance to fulfil their potential and away from Music is a fan of Liverpool Football Club, Northampton Saints Rugby Club, Golf and spicy food - both cooking and eating!
Mr Paul Norman - is our Guitar specialist and recently graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire  As well as playing the Guitar, Paul is also a composer and has even had one of his works recorded by the BBC.
